Getting Started Checklist

Course Prep

___ get the latest software (WebUpdate app in i>clicker folder web update icon)

___ alert students about i>clicker using Blackboard announcements and your syllabus

___ plan for question presentation and scoring participation/answers

___ know how to connect the base to your laptop or other computer

___ create a new course and download your course roster

___ enter instructor remote ID, make sure CMS/Registration has Blackboard 8 and above selected, Set for Course in MySettings (first time only)

Polling Session

___ open i>clicker and select your course

___ choose question type (usually multiple choice A-E)

___ open presentation or question list (make sure it is active window before each question goes live)

___ start polling using remote button A or session toolbar green arrow

___ stop polling using remote button A or session toolbar red circle

Display Results

___ click remote button "B" OR click on the chart icon on the session taskbar

___ designate correct answer, if any, using remote button E and cycle thru answers until the correct answer turns green

Export Grades

___ close i>clicker and open i>grader

___ click export icon, select course session, and confirm

___ select course and click export scores to CMS

___ may take a few minutes; but you should get “success” message
